Hell for Lycra History
SWE are a Professional Wrestling Promotion, who keep promises and bring BIG WWE Wrestling stars & Legends to parts of Scotland. In the past 2 years SWE have promoted The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Rory McAllistar from WWE tagteam The Highlanders, Original WWE Diva Sunny and Joe E Legend who was once a star in the WWE. The SWE have promoted all of these Superstars. Every year the event gets bigger than the year before. What will Hell for Lycra VIII bring to Dundee?Our mission is to work with other Wrestling Promotions and make Wrestling even bigger in Scotland. We have alligned ourselves with PureCatch Wrestling In Wales, Wrestlezone Scotland and Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, Canada. In the future we endeavour to extend olive branches to every single wrestling promotion in Britain to make our events great. There is alot of Talent in Scotland and I think its only fair everyone gets to see Wrestlings talents.ABOUT HELL FOR LYCRA
Hell for Lycra was thought up by the SWE Founder in 2003 and was first called "Going Hell for Lycra" after the saying Going hell for leather, however after discussions within the SWE the name was shortened to Hell for Lycra. The event was held in Blairgowrie Town Hall for the first 5 years where Bravehart and Chaz Phoenix ruled the Main event spots against a varied and exciting bunch of opponents. Then everything changed at preparation time for Hell for Lycra VI. SWE decided to go bigger and booked Perth Concert Hall and were able to draw a record breaking 600 capacity for the Perth venue, the biggest crowd Perth Concert Hall had ever seen and the biggest wrestling attendance in Perth for over 20 years! The SWE can claim fame to that event but they also booked in some WWE superstar legends to help them elevate their company. The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase from the world famous WWE was the first booked alongside WWE tagteam wrestler Rory McAllistar of The Highlanders. DiBiase was the biggest heel the WWE ever produced and now he was in the SWE's midst. It didn't end there In 2010 The SWE packed out The Bonar Hall in Dundee at Hell for Lycra VII. Helping them this year was WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase and WWE's Original Diva Sunny. Plans are afoot for Hell for Lycra VIII which will be held in Bonar Hall on Saturday 27th August 2011
